The FUS initiative supports research and shares knowledge with scientists around the world. This helps speed up the development of FUS technology, making minimally invasive treatments a real possibility for the future.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the Donders Institute, we use three different techniques to stimulate the brain without surgery: electrical, magnetic, and the newest method \u2013 focused ultrasound. This technique allows us to reach deeper brain areas than before. These areas play a key role in decision-making for example, especially in controlling impulsive choices.
