What is it like to live with ADHD? Imagine: you win a competition and get to participate live in The Big Broadcast on ADHD FM. The grand prize? A dream holiday. But there’s one problem: you still have loads to do. Your suitcase is open, the hamster needs feeding, your test isn’t finished\u2026 and meanwhile, the ADHD clock is ticking from lightning fast to agonisingly slow. The radio bombards you with quiz questions and chaos. Your tablet is flooded with messages, notifications and checklists. You try to create some order, but even that creates new stimuli.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The room turns into a living brain: full of sounds, lights, unexpected notifications and physical puzzles. Until the lights go out, only those who keep moving keep ADHD FM on the air. ADHD Escape \u2013 The Big Broadcast is a mobile escape experience about busyness, focus and resilience. A game that doesn’t explain what ADHD is, but lets you feel what it’s like to live with ADHD: chaotic, creative, caring and bursting with energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About ADHD Escape<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The ADHD Escape was made possible thanks to a grant from the Dutch National Research Agenda (NWA.1397.25.238), in collaboration with The Great Escape, Impuls & Woortblind and ROC Nijmegen. The project leader is Dr Jeanette Mostert, affiliated with Dr Martine Hoogman’s research group (Strengths and resilience in neurodevelopmental conditions, Radboudumc departments of psychiatry and medical neuroscience).<\/p>\n\n\n\n


A prototype of the ADHD Escape was developed in June 2025 by students from the Radboud Honours Lab: Annika Tielkes, Josje Meesters, Jet Sterkman, Antony Pop, Fr\u00e9d\u00e9rique van Poll, Lies Vos, Andy Zeng, Lila Berretta, Roos Hertogs, Zo\u00eb van Erp, Jayjay Rokers, Guusje Smeets, Tim Janssen, Guusje Broekhuijse and Maartje van Beek.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
